I have these moments when it hits me that I am leaving in just a few days, by myself, on a vintage motorcycle, to explore the lower 48 states and interview 49 people along the way to find out what they believe about Freedom.
Freedom is such a hot topic with so many different angles and several meanings.
I was told by my publicist that I have to ask myself the 5 questions and write my answers down before heading out to interview others. And when I return, all battered and worn out from the 15,800+ miles sitting upright behind a pair of familiar handlebars, I have to ask myself these questions again and write these answers down. With this, I should see a change in how I view the world, our nation, and the people of other cultural backgrounds and have a more opened mind, which will in turn allow me to accept the fact that what we are told by the media is not always the truth. What we are taught does not contain all the facts and what we think is not always in the best interest for the majority of individuals who are born on this earth and who had no choice when it came to the color of their skin, their religious up-bringing, their language or where they fit into the financial food chain of our society.
Note: I will be posting every day from now until the end of this year about Freedom.
