Political Affiliation? Or not...

After numerous conversations with literally hundreds of people across America on the subject of Freedom, I have found more confusion. My political affiliation has been questioned many times.

Ashamed? Not at all, as I silently question my actions back on the day I first registered to vote. I didn't pick the Democratic Party. It was suggested to me by someone who had, at that time, been alive at least 45 years longer than I had been. He was a public servant, in a position to take my application and set me up to choose someone to represent me in matters including Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness. Was there something missing in our conversation on that day? Did he lead me down a path of his choice or could it be that I just not very well informed?

OK, fade to 2010...

I am riding around the USA, on what some people call "My Great Adventure". For me, they are right. It is Great and what an adventure it is! I am thankful for everyone who has contributed to this endless series of days in my life. Today was the day I received a change in my political affiliation.

Democratic, nope.

Republican, guess again.

Independent, YES!!!

What does this all mean?

Am I not left or right?

Why do we have to be labeled one way or the other?

I am me! Make no mistake, I now have more Freedom than any "Party" could offer me.

Let me ask you, does there need to be a left/right separation?

Mozi on...
