I woke up this morning to a beautiful sun shining on the prairies of South Dakota. As I flipped on the TV in this hotel room to check the weather for the weekend, Little House on the Prairie was on. In fact, the Hallmark Channel is hosting a Marathon this weekend of the classic show about a family's life in Walnut Grove, Minnesota. I had the pleasure of cruising thru the real Walnut Grove yesterday and spent some time in the Laura Ingalls Wilder Museum with a very pleasant director named Amy.
Funny scene; a biker-looking dude in a museum about a girly show from long ago...
It was really cool, as I used to watch the show every time it came on. We all did. It was a family event. We always shared these moments together.
Yeah, I am a member of a very close family and love the bonds that are similar to those in the families I am meeting on the road.
...Time to get back in the saddle, lock my boots into the stirrups and twist the throttle.
