Initial mapping is complete

I have completed the mapping of the tour, but it adds up to 15,996 miles. I am confident that this number will be reduced by three to four thousand miles.

Some of the complications I have run into:

1. Never passing through a state more than once.
2. Never riding on an interstate highway

note:
Given the two rules listed above, avoid going from Alabama to Georgia through Canada!

  1. I am so excited for you, Kenny!! This is an amazing undertaking ~ any way you can post a picture of your map? I'd love to see how you accomplished this feat. How long will you be on the road?

  2. Hey J, I am not posting a map of where I am going, but will have a GPS unit on my motorcycle that will be linked to a satellite and onto this blog so you can see where I am and where I have been. I plan to be on the road for about three months. The current planned route is 15,565 miles. I am constantly looking for ways to connect all 49 dots, pass through each state only once, stay off of the interstate system, avoid bad weather and reduce the overall mileage.
